Christ Care

The goals of Christ Care, by the power of the Holy Spirit, are to help people grow closer to the Lord through Bible study and prayer, to provide opportunities to get to know and care for others, and to reach out to others within the church and community. Most importantly, the groups exist to serve and praise God. Christ Care groups use Biblical equipping (Bible study), prayer, and missional activities to serve God and others.

The groups also learn to listen to other group members, communicate assertively, care for others-leaving the results to God, and respond to God's love with love towards others. The groups are usually kept small-no more than 12 members.

When the number of members reaches more than that, the group will split into smaller groups. The missional activity of one of the groups include leading worship and singing at the Lutheran Care Center chapel during our Sunday School hour (9:45 -10:45 a.m.) one Sunday each month. Family members of Christ Care participants are also invited to join in these worship and singing events.

The Christ Care ministry is alive at Immanuel. ¬†Please see the Weekday Adult Bible Study page for the most current times, locations, and leaders of Christ Care classes.¬†
